Community Sparks
Volunteer to Help Keep Our Community Safe from Wildfire
🌲 Woods Watch are citizens who work with the US Forest Service and local law enforcement to watch for behaviors such as fire restriction and forest closure violations. Wood Watch participants must annually complete a 1-hour training sponsored by Coconino County Sheriff's Office, US Forest Service and Flagstaff Police Department. The next training is this Thursday.

Classes to Plan For
🌮 Kids in the Kitchen Class at Ft. Tuthill March 29th - Registration closes March 26th. Kids ages 8-15 will learn how to make simple, delicious dishes while developing essential kitchen skills.
🎴 Wisdom Cards at CCC April 5th - A six-hour mixed-media workshop to learn various themes and methods of well-known intuitive decks so that you can make your own.
💓Conscious Aging meets every Wednesday in April at CCC - 4 seats left. Taught by a life coach and gerontologist, the class will focus on the philosophy, skills, and practice needed to become a wise elder.

New at the Aquaplex - Futsal!
⚽ Looking for a fun way to get active? Futsal is a fast-paced, small-sided soccer game played on a basketball court. The Aquaplex is now hosting free open play sessions on Tuesdays & Thursdays for youth and adults!

🏠 Flagstaff’s ADU Model Plan Library will offer tools to simplify and reduce the costs of constructing an ADU and accelerate housing availability in Flagstaff. Designers have been competing and the Community Choice Award is in your hands! Vote for your favorite ADU model plan and help decide which designs win up to $1,000 in additional prizes!
Road Construction
🚧 Good to know for getting around town:
University Avenue between Milton and Yale is closed until April 7th. Traffic on Milton won’t be impacted.
Fourth Street-Lockett Roundabout preliminary construction begins March 31st. The intersection will remain open during preliminary construction. However, from May 23rd through August 4th, there will be a full closure of the area. The city is on track to fully open Linda Vista Drive before that closure.

🌞 If you want to send your kids to camp this summer, now is the time to make it happen. Some camps are already full, so register soon!
Momentum Aerial hosts Circus Camps, with offerings for kids ages 6 to 18.
Flagstaff Community Exploration offers art, nature, and adventure camps for kids ages 5 to 11.
NAU Lumberjack Rec Camp offers field trips, outdoor activities, and swimming during their camps for kids ages 5 to 14.
The Arboretum offers their popular eco-explorer summer camps. Their registration opens March 1st for members, with general registration opening April 1st.
Museum of Northern Arizona offers Discovery Camps with options for kids ages 5 to 11 and a junior camp counselor program is available for kids ages 12 to 18.
FUSD has Camp IWANNAGO, a summer camp offered through their FACTS program for kids ages 5 to 12.
Fun at the Fort Summer Camp, offered by Coconino County Parks & Rec is for kids ages 8-15. Their registration opens April 19th, so mark your calendar if that’s one you’re interested in.
