A Good Week for Flagstaff Activities

Community Art, Lone Tree & Butler Road Construction Begins, and a Library of Things

Good morning Flagstaff! Pulling together these newsletters is great because I get constant reminders of all the people and organizations who put so much energy and passion into sharing what they love and helping care for others in Flagstaff. If you know of a community organization I should highlight, please let me know!

Today in Flagstaff Inspires:

Where Whispers Take Flight - Call to Community

🕊 The HeArt Box Gallery is inviting you to be part of a special art installation about hope, dreams, and shared inspiration.

Join in creating this community-driven experience Where Whispers Take Flight, at The HeArt Box this March. The gallery is seeking your personal messages of hope, your dreams for the future, and your whispers of encouragement to be transformed into origami birds that will fill the gallery with beauty and meaning.

How to Participate:

  1. Create: Fold your own origami bird, and inscribe it with a message of hope, a wish, or a dream.

  2. Contribute: Add your bird to the growing collection of messages, hanging from the ceiling and becoming part of the living art piece. Birds can be mailed in or dropped off.

  3. Inspire: Your bird will join others, creating a vibrant, collective expression of community and connection.

No experience necessary! This is a space for all ages, backgrounds, and levels of creativity. Each bird you make is a part of something larger-together, we will lift each other with our hopes and dreams.

Did you know…

Our Library has a Library of Things?

🧰 Need a cordless drill? a laminator? a stand mixer? or maybe a Didgeridoo? Good news - these are just a few of the things you can check out from Flagstaff Public Library! I was super happy to be able to give my paint brushes and fountain pens a much needed deep cleaning this weekend with the ultra-sonic cleaner I checked out.

Items can be checked out for 14 days. You can even place items on hold to pick up at whichever library location is convenient for you.
